Typhoon International is delighted to announce that it has launched its first range of personal protective apparel designed specifically with dinghy sailors.

This exciting new collection benefits from Typhoon's 70 plus years of experience in technical marine clothing manufacturer and design, with the resultant products incorporating the latest in fabric technologies, innovations and features while offering a timeless aesthetic.

A truly comprehensive range suitable for all, it comprises a selection of products to ensure comfort while sailing, without compromising on range of movement, no matter what the weather.

"We're very pleased to be introducing Typhoon's new dinghy range" says Amy Grealish, marketing and communications manager at Typhoon International. "Following considerable research and development, the extensive range covers everything a dinghy sailor could need, from drysuit to buoyancy aid to wetsuit. Professional or amateur, male, female or youth, our innovative collection of high performance and durable apparel has got them covered."

Products in Typhoon's bespoke new dinghy collection include:

Runswick Front Entry Drysuit

Made from strong, waterproof, windproof and breathable TX-4 fabric, this unisex light weight drysuit offers both comfort and mobility.

Ease of donning is enhanced by the drysuit's diagonal front entry YKK® Aquaseal zip and Glideskin neoprene cuff and neck seals, while PU reinforced knees and seat ensure longevity of the drysuit even when used by the most active sailors.

Available in youth sizes L-XL and adult sizes S/M/L/XL/XXL

Caliso3 Eco Long John and Top

Manufactured from limestone neoprene and eco carbon black, the latest in eco-friendly and sustainable recycled materials, the Caliso3 range offers the feel-good factor as well as enhanced thermal protection.

Popular with both amateur and professional dinghy sailors, the Caliso3 Eco Long Johns and Tops' contoured seams, ergonomic and energy efficient design offers unrivalled movement, flexibility and stretch.

The ultra-stretch limestone-based neoprene offers incredible insulation and wicking properties for maximum thermal protection, while the internal lightweight thermal back liner is water repellent with quick dry properties.

Water ingress is minimised by the glued and blind stitched sealed seam system, further promoting warmth and comfort.

The Caliso3 Eco Long John has abrasion resistant seat and knee protection for increased durability with the men's version also coming with a convenience zip.

The Caliso3 range is available in youth, men's and women's styles and sizes.

Annan Thermashield Top

Designed to keep dinghy sailors warm during even the coldest on water session, the Annan Thermashield features a warm fleece liner and rubberised outer shell with taped seams.

Incorporating design input from top performing sailors during development, the Thermashield is waterproof and the protection it offers is further enhanced by a high roll snug fitting collar.

Available in men's women's and youth fits in sizes XS - XXL

Renvyle Smock

Made from two-layer TX-2 fabric, the Renvyle Smock is waterproof, wind proof and highly breathable.

The smock's ergonomic design, featuring hard wearing PU cuff seals and collar, and a neoprene waistband with twin side adjusters, offers unrestricted movement as well as extreme durability.

A zipped side pocket for essentials completes the design, making it ideal outerwear for all sailors.

The Renvyle Smock comes in black or orange and is available in sizes S - XXL

Runswick4 Boots

The Runswick4 is an advanced, hard wearing dinghy boot, designed to withstand the tough demands of top performance dinghy racing.

Full side lace up fastening promotes easy entry and creates the ultimate fit, while an inner gusset limits water ingress along that side of the boot.

Warmth is afforded by 4.5mm of neoprene, and durability by rubber on the sole, toe and heel. A protective ribbed upper allows for excellent grip on the toe straps, especially when hiking.

Available in UK sizes 4 -12

Towyn and Colwyn Gloves

The Towyn glove has been designed with a focus on efficiency of movement, using a specialist fabric technology combined with ultra-grip durable palm protection to maximise performance, durability and dexterity when used on the water.

The Towyn glove comes in both full and half finger styles, with junior sizes also being available.

The Colwyn glove is a durable lightweight solution to protecting hands out in the elements, while not restricting dexterity and range of movement.

The glove construction offers maximum grip via its Amara palm finish, while the adjustable neoprene wrist seal provides a more flexible fit.

Available in both full and half finger styles, the Colwyn glove also comes in junior sizes.

  • Colwyn Glove Full Finger, sizes S - XL
  • Colwyn Glove Full Finger Youth, sizes YS - YL
  • Colwyn Glove Half Finger, sizes S - XL
  • Colwyn Glove Half Finger Youth, sizes YS - YL
