The Bermuda Race Organizing Committee (BROC) is pleased to announce that Safe Harbor Marinas will continue their premier sponsorship of the 52nd Newport Bermuda Race.

"We're honored to continue our partnership with Safe Harbor Marinas for the 52nd Bermuda Race," said BROC Chairman Somers Kemp. "Safe Harbor's wide range of marine services and race preparation capabilities bring vital expertise to many sailors preparing their yachts for the 635-mile Thrash to the Onion Patch." Additionally, the Crew Party will take place in downtown Newport at Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard on June 15th.

Safe Harbor's network includes Member privileges at more than 130 locations across the United States and Caribbean. Of the 42 marinas in the Northeast, 11 are in Rhode Island. "The Newport Bermuda Race is an iconic event that we're pleased to be a part of," said James Phyfe, Safe Harbor Marinas' Chief Resource Officer who also serves as the race's Chief Inspector. "Our teammates at Safe Harbor look forward to helping yachts prepare for the race."

In addition to partnering with the Newport Bermuda Race, Safe Harbor Marinas invites sailors to participate in the 2nd Annual Safe Harbor Race Weekend August 12-14, 2022. Yachts 30 feet and over can register for three unforgettable days of exciting racing and extraordinary shoreside events at Safe Harbor locations in Newport, Portsmouth, and Jamestown, Rhode Island. "We were thrilled with the turnout last summer and look forward to hosting another fantastic regatta in August," said Tim Moll, Safe Harbor Race Weekend Event Director and Regional Vice President, Northeast.
