Aberdeen Boat Club (Hong Kong) is one of the premier yacht clubs in Hong Kong, boasting two operational locations. The main clubhouse contains all the social 'club' facilities - bar, dining, swimming pool - as well as administration, car park etc, and the Middle Island clubhouse (accessible by ferry) is the Dinghy Sports Centre for dinghies, dinghy racing, sail training and high performance coaching.
The Club is actively seeking the right individual to take up the newly-created position of Sailing Sports and Recreation Manager, reporting to the Club Sailing Committee and the Marine Services Manager.
Responsibilities of the new post will include:
- budgeting and financial results/management
- coaching a team of 26ers and Optimists at the highest level
- managing sail training for both Club members and members of the public to RYA and HKSF syllabus
- management and promotion of dinghy racing
- managing a fleet of 100+ dinghies
- supervising other water-based activities such as kayaks SUP etc
