Congratulations! Ryan Finn completes his solo journey

Ryan Finn has done it! He successfully completed the record for a single-handed sail on a Proa from New York to San Francisco. This is not only the shortest boat to accomplish such a complex journey, but it is also the lightest one weighing in at around 3,200 lbs.
For those of you just tuning in, Ryan Finn embarked on solo sail from New York to San Francisco around Cape Horn on his 36' Proa, Jzerro. Finn began his journey on January 18, 2022 departing from the Miramar Yacht Club in Brooklyn, New York. He made his way down the East Coast of the United States and rounded Cape Horn in Chile. After some challenges and a few repairs along the way, Finn successfully made his way up the West Coast to San Francisco.

Colligo Marine is very proud to be Southern Ocean Certified (SOC)! As many of you may know, the waters rounding Cape Horn are some of the most hazardous waters in the world. Finn experienced harsh conditions, including strong winds, strong currents, and large waves.
