Across our 'Wise Men' series the intention has always been to celebrate the innovators and thinkers that have given so much to the development of our sport.

Back at the end of 2019 we were proud to feature an article on Reg Bratt, who from his home in Weymouth had been an avid supporter of Speed Week, either with one of his clever dinghy designs or even as one of the early thinkers about foil borne sailing.

Sadly, we heard yesterday that Reg had peacefully passed away yesterday afternoon, just two months short of his 104th birthday.

Sail on Reg, whatever your destination, we can be sure that with your love of speed that you'll get there quickly.
