This was the second successful edition of the Lupo Cup, 420 class: almost seventy crews took part in the regatta organised by Circolo Vela Torbole in collaboration with the twinned Bayerischer Yacht Club, which, together with its historic coach Wolf (Lupo in German), created this event for the young 420 class.

Many German crews will be present, together with Poland and Croatia; a regatta that could become even more international given the excellent spring weather in the days just after Easter.

On Garda Trentino, in spite of four rather cloudy days, there was no shortage of wind, so much so that 11 good races were concluded, which made it possible to apply 2 discards.

The final classification was really hard fought and very short in terms of points between the first 4 of the general classification: the Germans Fleischer-Gnass won with only one point ahead of their pursuers, followed respectively in second and third place but with the same points by Gericke-Schwarz and Lysander-Boetsch.

Fourth, still just one point behind the second and third placed Germans Von Holtum-Berktold. A little further back were the first females, leading after the third day, Valentina Steinlein and Lea Adolph.

Bayerischer Yacht Club itself won the Lupo Cup Trophy awarded by the German 420 class to the club with the best three crews in the overall classification.
