Introduction to Offshore Sailing Recap from Ireland's Offshore Racing Academy

Introduction to Offshore Sailing Re-Cap © Offshore Racing Academy

It become apparent to Irish offshore sailor Kenny Rumball that there are no grassroots feeds to the professional offshore racing scene in Ireland. It became apparent that most young Irish sailors know very little about the offshore scene in France and the progression it takes to achieve results in races like La Solitaire du Figaro, the Mini Transat or the Transat Jacques Varbe. So here's the latest update on what Kenny is doing to redress the balance.

A great turnout and refreshing to see so many enthusiastic sailors online last night for the first of our online sessions aimed at Offshore Sailing for 2022.

115 subscribers to our talk last night meant I had to upgrade the Zoom account! Not a bad complaint at all!

If you missed last nights talk, we are considering doing a re-run based on demand...

As always, most questions were answered but if anybody has any questions arising after last nights discussion, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Our next talk is highly recommended on Tuesday the 5th of April and will be given by world renowned offshore sailing weather expert and router Christian Dumard. Please sign up!

Looking forward to seeing you online for the next course.
