There is now a quality RS Aero fleet in Auckland racing across a number of clubs both as a class, and in mixed class racing.

The single handed dinghy class is increasingly embedding in the Auckland race scene and has set its sight on the Murrays Bay Club Champs on Sat 30 April - Sun 1 May as an official ‘class champs’.

Maraetai youth sailor Kate Rasmussen is one of the newest owners, adding an Aero to her repertoire that also includes the RS Feva and Starling.

Northcote-Birkenhead Yacht Club Commodore Chris Bowman took ownership of a boat last week. Waiuku based sailor and coach Hamish Cossey has also purchased an RS Aero.

Aeros enjoyed great success at the inaugural ‘Bridge to Bean’ event before Christmas, taking first and second place in the B division. Several owners sailed recently as a fleet at Northcote & Birkenhead Yacht Club.

There are few RS Aeros left in the latest shipment. Kiwi sailors can find out more information about the class in New Zealand using this link and contact NZ Sailcraft for information and availability.
