The annual Frensham Frenzy Open takes place this year on Sunday 6th March 2022. An ideal season opener, the Frenzy comprises two pursuit races, for monohulls under 16ft hull length and with Portsmouth Numbers between 1445 and 940 (broadly RS400 to Cadet or RS Tera Sport).

Starts for the slowest boats will be at 10:30, and around 13:30 after a break ashore for lunch. Race duration is based on 75 minutes for an Enterprise (PY 1122). Courses will use up to 9 of the club's yellow and red marks, providing a range of beats and downwind angles. Launching is straight-forward: no wet feet required regardless of wind direction. Competition is invariably hot, which combined with Frensham's famously challenging conditions guarantees great racing; it's truly never over until it's over on the Pond.

Entries numbers are limited to 50 - to book you place simply register online.

Registration, NoR and SIs can be found on the Frensham Pond Sailing Club website, https://www.sailfrensham.org.uk

Even light winds at Frensham fry brains I don't think you could say that this year's Frensham Frenzy was frenzied, but even light winds at Frensham fry brains. The forecast wasn't looking good but in true Frensham style everyone rigged and chose their boats for the conditions. Posted on 4 Mar
