In preparation for the annual Newport to Ensenada International Yacht Race, which sails April 22, 2022, NOSA will be hosting an informative sailing seminar on Thursday, February 10 at Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club. The event will also be broadcast on Zoom. Start time is 7 p.m.
More than 50 yachts have already entered including Craig Reynold's Bolt and John Raymont's Fast Exit II from neighboring BYC, as well as BCYC's Blake Thornley and Gabriel Nistor's XLR8, and multiple time double-handed trophy winner Dan Rossen. So far, three double-handed crews are looking to challenge Problem Child, while the first all-female entry will be vying for the coveted Caroline Starr Trophy, will be among the 200 boats expected to participate.
For those looking to brush up on night sailing, provisioning, weather, and crew tips for a fun, safe, and trophy-winning race, these seminars are not to be missed. Other topics include race and sail strategies, safety precautions and best practices for overnight racing, and how to enter the Storm Trysail Club Team Racing competition.
Drinks and snacks will be available before the seminar.

- Dana Point Yacht Club on March 31.

As we enter into our 75th year, NOSA is once again going all out to host a spectacular, memorable, and competitive race and are hopeful that hometown Newport Beach clubs and racers looking to represent will attend the seminar and enter this historical race.
To attract new, just-for-fun and competitive sailors of all skill levels, N2E racers can choose one of three courses. The sprint to Dana Point, the half marathon to San Diego, and the classic - all-time favorite course to Ensenada, Mexico.
