In previous articles we have spoken about the Sailmon Max and the Cyclops Marine smartlink Nano, but never the two together! Not only will we be introducing some cutting-edge technology, but we will also be talking you through why they work so well together.

Firstly, just a quick overview of each product. The Sailmon Max is a wireless sailing device featuring high quality GPS, Heel, Pitch Sensors along with comprehensive start line technology. Whereas the Cyclops Marine smartlink2 Nano puts load sensing into its smallest, most robust, and practical form. Like the first iteration of smartlink, smartlink2 Nano will primarily be used on forestays, mainsheets, or vangs but it's designed for lowest weight, low windage, which is perfect for small dinghies like the Moth class.

Why they work so well together?

Mastering rig loads for optimal performance might seem daunting, but the Sailmon Max and Cyclops smartlink2 Nano Combo are here to make life easier. Sailmon are the first electronics manufacturer to create a direct Bluetooth connection to any Cyclops marine load sensor, to provide true Plug & Play technology. This bundle not only enables you to see when you're going fast, but it helps you identify that optimum rig load number, in different conditions, so you can get back to the same optimal performance, time and again.

Additionally, you have the benefit of the powerful Sailmon App, or you can download to other software packages, putting more performance analytics in your hands. This cutting-edge technology can log your data in the background so you can concentrate on sailing and return to the figures whenever you need them. All this additional sailing data will speed up the training and learning cycle.

Other Benefits

The new upgraded smartlink2 technology features 2,000 hours battery life, meaning you can leave it on for the duration of a regatta, without having to worry about it. This, coupled with the fact that it wirelessly charges within 1 hour, creates a seriously robust and user friendly device - capable of withstanding the worst the marine environment can throw at it.

Not only can you log and review your performance data but when it comes to racing, let's not forget this package is there to win you regattas! The Sailmon MAX is primarily a start line device and uses military grade GPS, accurate to 40cm, to guide you to the starting line, helping you get there with perfect timing.

Finally, why not have some fun with your friends and use the Sailmon App and see how you performed against your friends or competitors. By tagging friends you can track their performance stats and overlay them onto your data, so you can compare notes and improve, as a group, next time you're out.

Summary

At upffront.com we are passionate about performance sailing hardware and rigging systems and we believe this bundle will help improve your performance from the start line. Not only will you be able to compare your live data with a longer lasting battery and more robust technology, but you will also be able to continuously fine-tune your sailing skills.
