The EuroCup series returns to the WASZP calendar for 2022, adding even more high-quality racing opportunities for WASZP sailors around Europe.

This edition of the series makes six stops at some of Europe's best foiling venues. Scores from three events are required to contest the overall prizes, giving sailors plenty of opportunity to get their names on the series scoreboard.

The first event heads to Lanveoc, France for the 21st edition of the Grand Prix Ecole Navale, which takes place on the flat waters of one of Europe's most beautiful natural harbours. This event also stands as the qualifying event for the French leg of SailGP Inspire for season 3. The French WASZP academy is producing some top future talents who will all be on the start line in Lanveoc to show what they can do.

Next the series heads to the Netherlands for the first international WASZP event for the Dutch. Medemblik, the famous sailing town, is hosting a new concept regatta - the High Performance Regatta. It is expected that this regatta is going to grow year on year and WASZP is proud to be part of it from the beginning with a great opportunity to grow the class and performance sailing in the Netherlands.

Foiling Week is the third regatta on the list. This year the event, which has just been awarded World Sailing Special Event status, is perfectly positioned ahead of the WASZP Games in Malcesine, so the turnout is expected to be massive! There is no better warm up for the biggest WASZP event in history!

To celebrate the recent formation of the Danish WASZP Association, the series heads to Copenhagen for round four. The event is hosted by the KDY - the Royal Danish Yacht Club - and will run at the same time as the Copenhagen SailGP! This is an awesome opportunity to go WASZP racing and watch F50 racing all at once. The schedule will be designed to ensure WASZP sailors get the chance to watch as much of the F50 racing live as possible!

In September, the series heads to Santander for event number five. This event also forms the Spanish National Championship and the qualifier for the Spanish SailGP Inspire event, so expect a big turnout from the Spanish fleet. Santander harbour is an awesome place to foil with world-leading facilities right in the centre of the lively city.

The final EuroCup event of 2022 heads to Germany and Bayerischer Yacht Club. Located just outside of Munich, this final round is located right in the centre of Europe. It's only 4 hours from Garda and an easy drive for the majority of European WASZP sailors - the ideal spot to round off the series.

Stay tuned for more news on individual events and the awesome prizes that will be up for grabs. 2022 is now fully set for a record-breaking year for the European WASZP scene and we can't wait for the racing to get going! Log on to RaceHub to track the action and see the ranking points add up as the season kicks off.
