Porto Montenegro, the superyacht marina and luxury lifestyle destination, is delighted to announce the return of the ACREW Superyacht Winter Games, which will take place from 4th - 6th February 2022.

The games, which will be returning for its third edition, will invite superyacht crew and industry professionals to take part in an exciting and competitive weekend of mental and physical challenges. With a maximum of four people per team, participation in the games is open to all superyacht crew members and industry professionals - from Porto Montenegro marina crew members to those from other marinas in the Adriatic and wider Mediterranean.

The games will take place in the heart of the Montenegrin skiing centre in the picturesque Bjelasica mountains, located in the idyllic town of Kolasin. Participants will partake in a wide range of mountain sports adventures, including traditional snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding, to more unconventional sports including 'Big Foot' racing on wooden skis to add a fun and competitive edge to the tournament.

As the world's first platinum-status marina, Porto Montenegro strives to continually exceed the needs of captains and crew. Located on the UNESCO protected Bay of Kotor, the full-service marina is within close proximity to three international airports and offers year-round sunshine, as well as a mild climate - making it the ultimate destination for winter yachting adventures. Porto Montenegro offers exceptional crew lifestyle throughout the year, with an extensive events programme and international fashion boutiques, as well as a vibrant dining scene.

Tony Browne, Marina Director at Porto Montenegro, comments: "We are extremely excited to be organising the third edition of the Superyacht Winter Games. This event is a great opportunity for superyacht crew and industry professionals to step aside from their regular hardworking routine by participating in a long weekend of fun and social team building located in the snowy mountains of Montenegro.

The Porto Montenegro Superyacht Games has become one of the most popular traditions we hold on a bi-annual basis. This year, we are excited to host teams currently based in Porto Montenegro, and those flying in for the event from around the entire Mediterranean."

Participants of the Superyacht Winter Games can expect an atmosphere of healthy competition, team building and fun parties, whilst also experiencing incredible Montenegrin food. The event will also provide a taster of ahead of the highly anticipated Crew Awards weekends, in partnership with ACREW, which will be hosted at Porto Montenegro for the first time in October 2022.

Onno Ebens, Managing Director at ACREW, comments: "ACREW is happy to be returning as an official partner of Porto Montenegro for this event. We hope to bring at least three teams from Spain to enjoy a special agenda created just for them and unbeatable Montenegrin hospitality. It will be a great opportunity to start our official nomination campaign for the Crew Awards, also set to be hosted by Porto Montenegro in October. It seems we will be spending quite some time in the Adriatic region in 2022!"

This year, to add an extra incentive, there will also be a generous €3,000 cash prize for the winning team brought to you by A+ Yachting and Evolution Yacht Agents. Entries are priced at €150 per person, which covers the participation fee, alongside accommodation, food, sports equipment, instructors and ski passes.

For participants based in Barcelona area, Porto Montenegro has already booked a selection of flights, which are available to purchase with the early-bird price of €350, this includes flights, accommodation, food, ski passes, equipment and games participation, plus a night out in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. For those who want to enjoy a little extra pampering, Porto Montenegro is also offering a €470 package which includes a stay in the 4-star Bianca hotel & spa during the games. Early bird prices are available until 19th December 2021 and are subject to availability.

The Crew Club is a unique marina community that is complimentary for all crew residing in the marina. It brings together crew and marina clients all-year round through a range of seasonal events and activities. From sports tournaments to parties and jetty-side BBQs, each event is designed to bond crew mates but also to meet other people living and working in Porto Montenegro. A series of discounts are also available exclusively to Porto Montenegro Crew Club members, to ensure that they are entertained throughout the winter months. Highlights include selected discounts at partner retail outlets throughout the village - from luxury fashion boutiques to restaurants, cafes and bars, offering diverse dining options.
