The smallest, lightest, strongest, most versatile load sensors just got 'Supercharged'

Originally developed for the America's Cup, since 2020 smartlink sensors have brought wireless load sensing to a wider audience - allowing sailors to take control of performance with live load data displayed via onboard displays and smartphone app, logged charts through the app and data ready for upload to sail analytics software.

Packed with new capabilities, smartlink2 delivers a more powerful, practical iteration of the sensor which is already becoming an essential part of the racing sailor's tech arsenal.

What's New?

Like the first iteration of smartlink, smartlink2 is easily added in-line of any 'soft' stay or sheet, from mainsheets, to code sail tack lines, to backstays and runners.

With feedback from top sailors in some of the most extreme conditions in the world, smartlink2 has been engineered for the most demanding of situations.

10 x Battery Life

smartlink2 joins the wireless charging revolution, a change which allows it to deliver 10 x the battery life of its predecessor - for an astonishing 2,000 hours of continuous use when fully charged (smartlink2 takes just one hour to fully charge).

"Talking to IMOCA teams we realised that we needed to get to a new level of performance. These sensors really only need to be fitted... then they're good for months on end in the harshest of conditions" - Edward Colby, CTO, Cyclops Marine

Increased Bluetooth Range

smartlink2 comes with a new generation of internal antenna which has increased working range by approximately 60%. This means your Gateway device, Sailmon MAX or phone can be further away from the sensor and still receive live load data for display.

Robust and Practical

Where the old model required battery changing, smartlink2 has no removable parts. With no preparation or forward thinking required, the battery life and sheer robustness of the sensor mean that you can leave it onboard and forget about it... until you're back on the water, nailing your fastest settings and crushing the competition.

smartlink2 alerts you of low battery, and if you do run it down to zero, amazingly you can charge it for a single minute for an entire day's use.

Enhanced Capabilities

The benefits don't stop there. The power of smartlink2 unlocks a new sphere of possibilities. New integrations like direct Bluetooth configuration with Sailmon MAX as well as third party apps like the Sailmon app and other analytics software put more performance power in your hands.

Enhanced App capability logs in the background so you can concentrate on sailing and return to the figures whenever you need them.

Early feedback on smartlink2

Dylan Fletcher, Men's 49er Olympic Champion: "Cyclops have done a brilliant job here. Gamechanger to have so much available data in such a small package."

Dede DeLuca (One Sails): "I've been testing the smartlink2 Nano... on the 69F in connection with the [Sailmon] MAX and I have to say the connectivity is so much better than before and the ability to have the CSV file is very useful for analysis."

If you want to 'Supercharge' your performance with the all new smartlink2 the smallest size (Nano) is available now, with a limited time 5% discount on the Nano/Sailmon MAX bundle from OceanRope.com and Upffront.com

The remaining four sizes of smartlink2 - suitable for all classes of boat - are available in January. Email to find out more or pre-order.
