The team at specialist boat insurers Euromarine are excited to announce the return of Ramsgate Week for 2022 and are proud to be title sponsors once again.

Widely known as the 'friendly regatta' and hosted by the historic Royal Temple Yacht Club, the event aims to accommodate both serious racers and those who are looking for a more laid-back competition. Racing will take place from 17th to 22nd July and see local competitors sailing against visitors from other parts of the UK and Europe.

The week is a great alternative to Cowes, with a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, plus lots to see and do beyond the sailing. Entrants are treated to a great selection of evening entertainment to unwind after a day on the water.

Euromarine Assistant Manager, Lauren Evans, said: "We look forward to Ramsgate Week every year. It is great to return as title sponsor again in 2022 to support the sailing community. The regatta provides the perfect opportunity to meet up and build relationships with our customers whilst they are out on the water enjoying their passion. It is also a great excuse for our team to swap the office for the water as well! We are excited to work with the Royal Temple Yacht Club once again to create another fantastic race week."

Karen Cox, Chairman and Organiser of Ramsgate Week, added: "Ramsgate Week has been running for over 100 years and during that time it has only had two headline sponsors, the Woolwich back in the 90s and, for the past four years, Euromarine Insurance. We are delighted to once again work in partnership with them, a company that has the same level of commitment to detail and who are specialists in Marine Insurance. We believe it makes for a great partnership. In 2021 our European friends were unable to join us due to Covid restrictions but having spoken to them, they are excited to be able to come this year and already have the dates in their diaries. As a result, we are expecting 2022 to be a bumper year."

As part of the regatta, the 2022 IRC East Coast Championships will run from Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd July as a separate series within the main Ramsgate Week event. As well as the usual short inshore races, there are also longer races too, including the Round the Goodwins Race on Sunday 17th.

The Euromarine team will be on hand throughout the week to watch, compete alongside and socialise with everyone. Ramsgate Week 2022 will be held from 17th - 22nd of July. Visit www.ramsgateweek.com for more information.
