Sail Racing have been working closely with the Australian, New Zealand and Denmark SailGP teams in preparation for the final event of 2021, to be held on Sydney Harbour on December 17th and 18th.

With the Australian team currently sitting on top of the leader board and looking for a strong result on home waters, skipper Tom Slingsby outlined the importance of Sail Racing's technical support out on the water.

"I'm proud to have Sail Racing, a brand that is held in such high regard in our industry as part of our team. We are now racing these foiling F50 catamarans reaching speeds of over 50 knots - 100kph, and so at these speed our on-water 50 KTS Race Edition technical gear has a big impact on how we perform. I believe that the durable, reliable and innovative gear that Sail Racing offers sets them apart from other brands, and supports our team as we compete around the world in a wide range of climates and conditions at each event."

A key part of the race clothing for the Australian team is the Orca hybrid rashguard series, featuring high and tight collars with protection against wind and water penetration, super stretch laminated fabric with DWR (Durable Water Resistant treatment) for wind and water resistance, stretch flatlock seams, and stretch mesh at the back assisting ventilation. Feedback from the athletes confirms these are the most flexible, breathable and efficient rashguards they have ever worn.

Following their impressive victory in Cadiz in extreme conditions, Australian SailGP crew member Nina Curtis also confirmed the Sail Racing Orca protection leggings and Orca long johns were outstanding in terms of protection.

"Honestly - the Sail Racing gear is the best I have ever worn, and has saved me from multiple knee and shin dings and gives us massive peace of mind when crossing the boat in those conditions of racing in 40-50 knots!'

With the SailGP event due to light up Sydney harbor next month, team merchandise can be purchased on the Sail Racing Australia website for the Australian, New Zealand and Danish Teams. To celebrate the return of international events to NSW, Sail Racing Australia are running a promotion to win the ultimate Sydney SailGP Experience, featuring:
