A day unfortunately in line with the weather forecast, not enough to start a single race.

Corinne Aubert PRO - Principal Race Officer in the men's round, gives us an initial assessment of the event and explains the day of the finals tomorrow:

"We were starting on unfamiliar territory compared to the new Olympic class in terms of operation. Navigating two racing circles is a big first for them and it has worked very well. This is the 1st regatta at sea for the series and it is also the first championship with so many competitors. This is what made it necessary to separate the fleet over two racing zones. And despite the conditions on some very complicated days, we managed to optimize the days with wind by doing a maximum number of races. The results are therefore very positive and we can say that the contract is 100% fulfilled, the class seems very happy and we have prepared the ground well for the Olympic Games".

"Tomorrow, the "Medal Race" will start at noon on the first racing zone under the Kennedy Corniche with the 8 male and female finalists. The other 200 competitors will turn to the second racing zone further offshore to determine the rest of the classification. Beautiful conditions are planned, the show is guaranteed! "

The finalists are:

Women:

1. Helene Noesmoen [FRA]
2. Islay Watson [GBR]
3. Shachar Reshef [ISR]
4. Lucie Belbeoch [FRA]
5. Saskia Sills [GBR]
6. Pilar Lamadrid Trueba [ESP]
7. Palma Cargo [CRO]
8. Nicole van der Velden [ESP]

1. Huig Jan Tak [NED]
2. Nicolas Goyard [FRA]
3. Luuc Van Opzeeland [NED]
4. Louis Giard [FRA]
5. Tom Reuveny [ISR]
6. Mateus Isaac [BRA]
7. Titouan Le Bosq [FRA]

See you tomorrow noon for the finals, the medal race is on!
