The first Bali 4.4 catamaran by Catana to arrive in Australia will be in time for the Sydney International Boat Show next July. From a distance it seems like a really smart boat and here are some of the unique design features.

The foredeck is solid, thus creating an extra cockpit, which can be served though opening windows at the front of the galley. Further, there is a lockable door giving direct access to the galley, now in the centre of the boat, and the saloon. A double door, floor to ceiling fridge with an ice maker and chilled water fountain comes next to port with the saloon to starboard to seat eight people comfortably.

The surprises don't end here though; at the press of a button the whole aft bulkhead is lifted by a hydraulic ram and secured under the solid bimini to give easy access and direct airflow from the aft cockpit, which has its' own fridge. Open space is justifiably the bi-line with this 44 footer having 85 square meters of usable deck space!

Below decks with this owner version there are three cabins, each with private facilities, and the whole yacht is fully air-conditioned and equipped with generator and water maker.

This is of course is a sailing yacht and access to the helm station is from either side, with clear vision in all directions and with sun beds all around. Look up and there is a maximum 150 square metres of upwind sail area, a square top main, furling jib and furling gennaker on a bow sprit.

The Bali 4.4 being brought to Australia by Yacht Share Mariner will be syndicated with eight shares on offer at $205,000 equipped, delivered, duty and tax paid.
