Have you got your piece of Australian Fishing History?

Alvey V-Slot VS5 © Alvey Reels

In January 2020, on the centenary of Alvey Reels, we agreed that regardless of how difficult it would be, and irrespective of the obstacles to making some of the old components, we would restart the Alvey Stealth Development Department, and have a working prototype of the original Alvey V-Slot reel by Christmas 2020.

There were certainly some setbacks, but we couldn't be happier with the final result using the same beautiful North Queensland Silky Oak used in the originals.

The 1920 V-Slot replica is mounted in a felt covered base housed in a clear Perspex cover to finish this beautiful display piece. It also comes with a commemorative specially reproduced Alvey Catalogue from 1937, where the original V-Slot first appeared.

And for a limited time, the V-Slot comes with a pair of Alvey Spotters sunglasses and an Alvey Limited Edition 100 Year Cap.

But if that wasn't enough, every purchase of the V-Slot will put you in the draw to win a framed Alvey Centenary T-Shirt signed by Bruce and Glenn Alvey. This is truly one of the best pieces of Australian fishing history ever made available to the public, and numbers are limited.
