It was worth the wait! The Covid-delayed Inlands finally took place within the beautiful settings of Llangorse lake with eleven visitors joining the three brand new local boats for a fabulous weekend of racing and socialising.

Although the winds were generally light on Saturday, the conditions were challenging for all with large shifts and light patches appearing across the course. However it was Richard Salliss/Carole Williams (MK1) and Guy Davison/Nicky Griffin (MK2) that made the most of the conditions and led their respective classes overnight. Their dominance continued into Sunday to win the overall event - congratulations to both teams.

There was still plenty of excitement with the rest of fleet which included very close racing throughout, a few capsizes, a couple of near collisions and even a boat leaving the dock without their crew!

After the formalities of the series racing, one fun race was organised with a mass start and a long reach down the length of the lake, a great sight of colour. First across the line was Ade/Tracie who were treated to two jars of local honey made so close to the sailing club we could hear the bees!

A huge thanks to the team at Llangorse who treated us to bacon sandwiches, home-made cakes along with a few races ! With such a friendly and professional manner, we cannot wait to go back in May 2022.
