Winter is coming - Ullswater Yacht Club's new-look Open Winter Series starts on Sunday, November 7 and continues until Sunday, December 19.

Banish the winter blues and take part in the weekly Sunday-only All Class Handicap event. Visitors are welcome to come and race with us on Cumbria's most beautiful lake.

There'll be three races, back-to-back per day, 11am start with 15 ACH races to count and a prize-giving on the final day, December 19, after racing. If there are sufficient numbers there will be a separate Youth & Junior start.

Entry for visitors is £30 for a singlehander, £40 for a doublehander and £10 for juniors for the 7-Sunday series including boat storage.

Volunteers to help with running the racing will be welcome. The clubhouse and changing rooms will be open but there will be limited catering with hot drinks available.

Booking for visitors is on the UYC website under the Book Online heading at ullswateryachtclub.org/event/522411. For details email
