The Bermuda Race Organizing Committee (BROC) welcomes Team One Newport, specialists in customized team apparel, as an Official Sponsor and Gear Supplier of the Newport Bermuda Race that starts June 17, 2022.

For more than 36 years, Team One Newport has been providing technical sailing gear from head to toe including eyewear, headlamps, boots, and knives. The company's race sponsorship allows sailors to purchase custom-branded Newport Bermuda Race apparel from several brands including Musto, Gill, and Patagonia. Team One staff are sailors who understand the needs of sailors and have prepared an Offshore Checklist to help competitors plan their pre-race outfitting.

"Team One Newport offers sailors a wide, updated range of apparel options," said BROC Chairman, Somers Kempe. "The timing of this partnership affords racers time to customize their gear for training, for the race, and for other events far in advance of the start."

"As a competitive sailor and business owner, I'm passionate about customer service and satisfaction,'' said Martha Parker, founder of Team One Newport. "Our Team Sales/Embroidery Shop is the best in the business, and we supply customers with everything from technical gear to shore gear, embroidery, sublimation, and gifts."

Parker, a lifelong sailor, holds numerous world and national titles and competed in the 2002 Bermuda Race aboard Chippewa, a Swan 68. "I've been a 'girl on a boat', mostly on bow, all over the world, and I've always believed that if you put your heart into it, you can accomplish your goals," said Parker. Racing is predominantly a male sport, but Parker persistently maintains a diplomatic approach and applies her decades of experience on the water to benefit her customers, vendors, and staff.

Team One Newport offers over 76 popular brands, and each is chosen and tested carefully. The company proudly stands behind every product it sells and is a familiar and trusted name in the global community of sailors. They work closely with the manufacturers and designers to make sure the gear is functional and fashionable, and invite sailors to outfit themselves with the latest from Dubarry, Mustang, North Sails Performance Gear, Kaenon, Zhik, and others..

"We're very enthusiastic about our partnership with the Newport Bermuda Race, said Parker, "And we're ready to provide the best in gear from shore uniforms to full offshore needs for sailors participating in this adrenaline-filled race."
