Protect your kit from the elements with KitBrix

Designed for triathletes, KitBrix have created a really clever system of keeping wet kit away from dry kit safely and securely. Their waterproof bags have a rugged, watertight base which protects your gear against the elements, meaning you don't have to worry about the rain, sea or wind on land, or on the water. The bags are designed to zip together, turning into a rucksack if required and are extremely easy to sling into your boot or a boat's locker. This year they have also brought out some smart, eye-catching dry-robe Ponchos.

We used KitBrix's innovative system this summer and it worked brilliantly... and we spend a lot of time on the water!

Dinghy Sailing

Storing wet kit is especially challenging during a week-long regatta. Packing the wetsuits, boots and gloves into one bag while keeping dry kit in other worked really well, and was especially useful for keeping any tech dry. The new Poncho was also a huge hit, keeping everyone from our 11 year old to a 6'6" sailing dad warm and toasty after a day on the water.

Motorboating and paddleboarding

The start of this year's Fastnet was a wild and windy one. We headed out on the Sail-World.com Targa 27 to get some up-close shots of the start and were very relieved that our KitBrix zipped up so snugly, keeping cameras and phones dry and safe in 35 knots and serious wind against tide.

Warmer and sunnier weather was just around the corner, and we used our KitBrix to keep phones, keys and books safe as we paddle-boarded into a quiet beach for one of the last days of summer.

Yacht racing

Weekly racing with a regular crew of eight invariably ends with phones, glasses or keys being left on board or damaged by seawater. Using our KitBrix bag kept everything together down below, easy to find after the race and protected from the elements. A warm poncho is extremely welcome for post-race drinks in the cockpit too!
