A Multitude of Multihulls

It was down to luck with the timing in 2020 that the fifth edition of the "Occasions du Multicoque" second-hand multihull show was spared from the bans imposed by Covid 19. That rather unexpected turn of events confirmed how popular the sector is with so many sales agreed or initiated, resulting in a hugely successful event.

What better springboard could there be for this sixth edition which will be held from 7th to 10th October in the new harbour area in Canet-en-Roussillon, which has been so magnificently laid out just below the "ONIRIA" Aquarium.

As the years go by, there have been increasing numbers of second-hand multihulls for sale and the range of products has grown considerably. Even if the market remains stretched with demand exceeding supply, the enthusiasm for second-hand multihulls will be boosted in this new location.

With double-digit growth and more than 2000 boats produced around the world each year, the market for new products continues its inexorable growth. This has led to a bigger and bigger supply of second-hand products, which is the perfect scenario for new clients with more limited budgets

The second-hand multihull show, which is the only one of its kind, is now a major date on the boating calendar and is strategically placed at the end of the season in order to satisfy the needs of yards, dealers and brokers aiming to reduce their stock, while pleasing clients looking for a bargain. It is also a way to acquire a catamaran or trimaran with sails or with a motor without having to wait, while for a new boat, the waiting time is one or two years.

The "Occasions du Multicoque" second-hand boat show also involves the "NAUTIPÔLE" business park, a business incubator able to fulfil everyone's requirements in terms of services, equipment, chandlery, maintenance, insurance, transport, winterisation... The twelve-meter wide 200 tonne travel lift underlines the specialisation in multihulls. The experts, whose skills are recognised far beyond the Occitanie Region of SW France, will be present in the exhibitors' village during the four days of the show for the pleasure of all the visitors.

Welcome to the sixth edition of the "Occasions du Multicoque" second-hand boat show in the heart of Multihull Valley.
