Typhoon International adds Roan Hinge lightweight drysuit option to range

by Typhoon International Ltd 12 Sep 2021 20:00 NZST

The newest drysuit to come from the extensive range offered by Typhoon International is the Roan Hinge Drysuit. As the name suggests, the Roan is a hinge entry drysuit, whose YKK® Aquaseal zip is designed to enable the suit to be very easy to put on and take off, whilst at the same time being superbly comfortable to wear.

The Roan is a perfect example of a lightweight drysuit and, as a simplified version of some of Typhoon's more advanced models, whilst still offering many of the features of the more heavy duty suits.

These features include the Glideskin neck seal which gives extra comfort plus latex cuff seals for maximum waterproofness. Manufactured from Typhoon's advanced TX-4 fabric the Roan is both waterproof and breathable.

The Roan's waist skirt has an elastic hem, while internal braces keep the trousers comfortably in place. The braces have a removable back attachment so that the seat can be dropped for convenience. Knees and seat are PU reinforced while fabric socks keep feet warm and cosy. The Roan suit is completely articulated for ease of movement.

The Roan is available in a range of men's sizes and boasts an eye-catching colour scheme of Typhoon's classic black with wide orange sleeve bands. Women don't need to miss out, though. Typhoon has created the women's fit Hendra Hinge Drysuit [link] with all these features and more.

The Roan is perfect for active sports, like kayaking and sailing, and will be equally at home on boat and board.
