The world may have changed over the last year and a half but there are some things you can count on, including Icom's expert team who will be on hand to demonstrate their latest range of marine products at the Southampton Boatshow (10th-19th September). The company will be attending with some new ground breaking products and an exclusive 5-year warranty on all its VHF leisure products.
Icom will be launching the IC-M510, a stylish, advanced VHF/DSC marine radio that offers smartphone control of your radio using the RS-M500 app (iOS™/Android™). Up to three smartphones can act as remote controllers via the radio's WLAN. It is even possible to have an intercom function between your smartphone and the radio itself.
With the optional CT-M500 interface box, you gain NMEA2000 connectivity and a two-way hailer/foghorn function. The CT-M500 connects to your M510 wirelessly, keeping installation flexible.
Also on show will be the recently launched IC-M94DE, the first handheld VHF marine radio with a dedicated AIS receiver. The IC-M94DE provides vessel traffic information shown on the radio's large clear display. With its elegant design and abundance of simple to use features, this is a game-changing device for anyone who ventures out to sea for recreation or work.
In addition to these exciting new products, Icom will have on display its full range of products dedicated to all boat users including buoyant handheld VHF, VHF/DSC fixed radios, HF/SSB Marine radios, AIS products and marine base stations.
