Eight teams are ready to compete on Lake Garda while Young Azzurra is training for the fourth Grand Prix of the season that will take place in Puntaldia, Sardinia.

The Persico 69F Cup returns to the waters of Lake Garda, in Torbole this time, to compete in the third GP of the season which will take place from 7 to 12 September.

Currently, Young Azzurra is at the top of the overall ranking of the circuit with 30 points, followed by Okalys Youth Project with 28 points and FlyingNikka47 with 26 points in third place.

One of the big news of the Torbole Grand Prix is that Federico Colaninno, Flight Controller of Young Azzurra, will join Richard Davies' Section 16 team for this regatta as Young Azzurra will not participate in this event.

Two fresh America's Cup sailors will also join two different crews; Jacopo Plazzi will be on board the Swiss Dental Solution team while Matteo Celon will go with Balthasar; Plazzi and Celon have been both protagonists of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team in the 2021 America's Cup in Auckland.

Federico Colaninno: "The Swiss Section 16 guys needed a Flight Controller and when they asked me to join them I decided to accept. I have been sailing on this boat for a year, and to date I have already done 85 days on the Persico 69F. Foiling attracts a wide range of sailors and this boat offers a unique experience. The high speed combined with safety allows you to trust the boat from the very beginning and this makes you progress quickly".

Matteo Celon: "For me it is the first time I participate in a 69F event, I know Francesco Rubagotti and Enrico Zennaro who complete the crew and who already have experience on the boat, so it will be easier for me to learn. The Persico 69F is a very good and fast boat, it has been designed to fly easily and especially to guarantee real fun! The key feature of this circuit is that the boats are all the same and this allows you to compete at the same level. I am sure that we will have amazing racing days. The course will be a quadrilateral with reaching start and for this reason there will be many non-stop maneuvers."

Jacopo Plazzi: "This is the first time for me at the Persico 69F Cup too, I did a couple of days of training in the past and I can say that the boat is amazing, fast and technically original. You have to be good at a technical level and understand the dynamics of the foils both if you are an amateur or a professional sailor. A team with an amateur, together with two other expert members has the opportunity to experience real adrenaline. The boat is complete and I can safely say that the experience with the 69F team is the gateway to the world of foiling. The race field in Torbole is very interesting and will be a great experience to live."
