Australian Sailing is thrilled to launch the Olympic Webinar Series which will interview some of the key players from Australia's Tokyo Olympic Sailing team. Michael 'Blackers' Blackburn will kick off the series next Tuesday 7th September at 6PM AEST.

Each webinar in the series will include a chat with the team members followed by a Q&A session with the sailing community. This is your chance to ask some of our most successful Olympians how they progressed from club sailing to the Olympic stage, how they prepare for regattas or even what their pump-up music is.

The other Webinars in the series will feature Laser gold medallist Matt Wearn, Men's 470 gold medalist Mat Belcher and more.

Michael Blackburn coached Tom Slingsby, Tom Burton and Matt Wearn to the top of the Olympic podium at the London, Rio and Tokyo games respectively. Blackers has been the common dominator in Australia's three consecutive Olympic Gold medals in the laser class and is considered a huge factor in the nation's dominance in the most competitive international Olympic sailing class.

Michael will discuss his experience at the Tokyo games and is prepared to answer the fleet of questions which are expected from the sailing community. You must register to attend this event, which can be done via this link.

The spectator-free nature of the Tokyo games meant that spectators could best show their support for athletes via social media. Our Olympic sailors were overwhelmed by the support that was shared via #GoAusSailors. The Olympic Webinar series will give the sailing community another opportunity to engage with the athletes and coaches directly.

The webinars are free of charge and all members of the Australian Sailing community are welcome to get involved. We encourage you to have your questions ready for our conquering Olympians.
