Cascais Vela - Overall

The 31st Cascais Vela finished today, with the ORC and NHC classes completing the program for the three days of the event.

On a day of steady southwest wind blowing, the ORC class completed two more races today and the final winner of the Quebramar Trophy in ORC A was Panther/Syone, from Nuno Neves, followed by José Carlos Prista's Xekmatt and Super Açor, by Gonçalo Botelho.

In ORC B the victory smiled to the 2 Hot 2 Handle, captained by António Tanger, with the podium being completed by Vicky, from Augusto Castelo Branco and Bamak, from Rodrigo Vargas.

The NHC class carried out, like the day before, another coastal regatta. The winner in real time was again Mirpuri Foundation Racing Team by António Fontes that took another bullet today. The winner in corrected time of the overall was Extreme, from the Carlos Azevedo. In second place was the Carapau, from Bernardo Dias Pinheiro, followed by the Metralha from José Vozone.

The SB20 class held today the training regatta for the class's World Championship, which will start tomorrow in Cascalenses waters. The first race is scheduled for 14:00.

Cascais Vela runs from 27 to 29 August and has the support of the Municipality of Cascais, Turismo de Portugal, Cascais Tourism Association, Portuguese Sailing Federation, Quebramar, Cascais Marina, Mitsubishi, Sagres, Veneziani, Simões and Gaspar, Vista Alegre and JCDcaux.
