Sunstream® Boat Lifts, the leading manufacturer of high-quality portable and installed boat lifts and the SwiftShield™ Automatic Boat Cover System, announced today a new family of next generation boat lift accessories for the new SunLift SLX, including guide ons and a goal post bow stop, all based on a new, modern extruded shape called the "Sqround". Not square and not round, the Sqround extrusion combines the best qualities of both, with smooth curves, yet enough soft edges to keep telescoping sections from spinning out of alignment.

The new SunLift SLX accessory introduces the concept of a goal post to a bow stop. These goal posts not only gently nudge the bow correctly to the center, but they give users a visual reference for correctly placing the boat fore and aft on the lift, and a waterline band on the bow stop gives a visual reference for the correct height of the lift when loading. The V-shaped beam that stops the boat is shaped to direct the bow inward, which is a significant advancement over the typical hoop-style stops that tend to push the bow off center.

The strong mechanical properties of the Sqround extruded parts double the strength of existing accessories, and the shape matches the pleasing aesthetics of Sunstream's new SunLift SLX. The guides have a ribbed rubber exterior that matches the rubber bunks of Sunstream lifts, and offer a more forgiving contact against the boat for less wear and tear on the vessel compared to traditional PVC. The soft rolling rubber is gentle on the boat, yet is designed for extra-long life, with industry-leading scratch and stain resistant properties. Sunstream's innovative unbreakable guide bunk bracket uses a single set bolt instead of the traditional clamp with multiple bolts, which has a cleaner look and also saves time during installation and adjustment. For the ultimate in customizability the guide ons are the first on the market with adjustable height, which enables them to perfectly match the rub rail elevation, while the bow stop is the first adjustable width bow stop to accommodate the SunLift SLX adjustable width bunks. In addition, a convenient optional step simplifies boarding.

"We are continually striving to make the entire boat lift experience easier and more enjoyable," said Ken Hey, CEO of Sunstream Boat Lifts. "Our new guide on and bow stop accessories are designed to enhance the aesthetic of the SunLift SLX, while improving the functionality, durability and assembly time of our products. In addition, they are intended to be as unobtrusive as possible, displaying more of the boat, while understating the lift. We are confident that new and existing owners will be pleased with the ease of use."

"Sunstream really nailed it with their new Sqround guides," said Rich Tucker, president, Harry T. Tucker & Sons. "I don't think even the worst boat driver could break these. I also love how they look, and how fast they are to install and adjust."
