Triple Double Action Grand Final Racing at Lake Balaton

Four exciting regatta-events in seven days with some great results: second place in the White Ribbon, second in the Horváth Boldizsár Memorial. Second in the Audi Speed Cup and seventh in the Blue Ribbon for our Team Black Jack.

The last result hurt a bit. After a failed start in very crazy winds, we fought our way back to first place in this 150km distance race. Rarely has a race been so dramatic with many 180 degrees windshifts between the northern and southern coast of the great lake Balaton. But we unfortunately caught a few lull holes on the way back to the finish line. That robbed all our chances for the podium at the Blue Ribbon "Kekszalag" this year.

Everyone in the team did their very best. 100% all time! But a little bit of furtune was missing. It shouldn't be this time. A frustrating experience for all of us. We were so close to repeating what we achieved last year (2nd place).

Even if the final didn't go that well, it was a very successful season overall where we were on the podium in most of the races.

We trained a lot this year. But the competition has also developed further. Especially the two big ships (Team RSM and FiftyFifty).

In a few short races we were able to leave one or the other behind. But with long distance races it gets harder and harder to overtake them.

You have to risk more tactically. However, that doesn't always work out well. On the other hand, it is also a lot of fun to sail to the limit and beyond.

Now the big events on Lake Balaton are behind us. All in all, it was once again a very exciting sailing time in this wonderful sailing area. The lake, the surroundings, the great weather, Caribbean feeling in the middle of Europe. Plus sailing with a great team and an extraordinary catamaran. Simply fantastic!

We would like to thank all of our partners, friends and fans for their great support. Here a nice video from our Partner "Wallis Motor".....

What's next? In September the Landyachting season starts on the great beach in Sankt Peter-Ording (Northsea/Germany). On the 11.-12. 09. we have the German Open, the top event of the year. Highspeed sailing action up to 120km/h purely powered by wind, sun, innovative technology and mad pilots:-) Welcome!
