Entry open for Royal Southern's August Charity Cup

Hosted by the Royal Southern Yacht Club, the 2021 August Charity Cup will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend Saturday 28th to Monday 30th August.

Entries are welcomed for IRC classes, VPRS Club Class and One Design classes including J/70, SB20, XOD and recognised one-design classes. The Royal Southern's prestigious clubhouse on the Hamble River will utilise the expansive Den's Deck and Marquee for social activities.

The first August Charity Cup was held last year, 75 teams entered the regatta raising £5000 for the nominated charities. For this year's event proceeds will go to the Ellen McArthur Cancer Trust and Mayfield Nurseries

The Ellen McArthur Cancer Trust, Cowes

Supporting personal development of children and young people (8-14 years) who have had cancer. Through sailing and other UK-wide adventure activities, the Trust supports and inspires these young people to embrace their future with optimism after treatment for cancer.

Mayfield Nurseries, Southampton

A garden centre providing a place for people with mental health issues and learning disabilities to develop new skills and be part of a supportive, friendly community. Through a schedule of wellbeing groups and training programmes, people are empowered to made dramatic improvements in their mental health, confidence and self-esteem.
