Marine Results International SL gains LEEA accreditation to bolster load testing services

by Marine Results 27 Jul 2021 23:48 AEST

Specialist superyacht rigging and inspections company Marine Results is pleased to announce that it has gained LEEA accreditation for its load testing and heavy lifting certification service which operates from the company's Palma, Mallorca facility.

Marine Results has, for a number of years, provided a heavy lifting inspections, certifications and installations service within its rigging and survey projects, with a particular focus on the superyacht sector. The LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) accreditation now adds an official seal of approval to the wealth of experience already offered by Marine Results, whose personnel inspect and manufacture lifting equipment used on board vessels and for boat lifting.

The LEEA is the leading global trade association for the lifting industry and its accreditation criteria are rigorous and globally respected.

Marine Results' services include the manufacturing, installation and inspections of custom lifting strops for tenders, toys and other vehicles, tender towing lines, crane cables, and access rail systems.

Most recently the company has carried out a load inspection of all the lifting equipment and aloft equipment on the luxury sailing megayacht Badis, currently listed as the tenth largest sailing superyacht in the world at 70 metres (230ft).

The qualified personnel have also been on board vessels in Palma inspecting the onboard cranes, lifting equipment, aloft equipment, and all associated hardware. Other examples include the production and safe load testing of custom lifting strops for a leading superyacht tender manufacturer.

Lockie Stewart-Baker of Marine Results comments: "As longstanding rigging suppliers the accreditation to LEEA enables us to capitalise on our many years of experience in designing, producing and load testing running rigging for large sailing yachts."

Marine Results also provides consultancy and guidance on the maintenance schedules required for lifting equipment as required by EU regulations.
