The Savills Channel Islands Hobie Cat Championships are being staged in St Aubin's bay, Jersey on the weekend of the 31st July and 1st August.

This year is a special one as it's the 30th Anniversary and a large turnout of around 30 Hobie Cats are expected to compete in three Hobie classes, the Hobie 18's, Wildcats and Tigers. Hobie 16's and Juniors racing Hobie Dragoons. There are also trophies for Youth, Women's and Masters in the Hobie 16 class.

The event is organised and hosted by the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club. There are 6 qualifying races over the two day event to find the Champions in the class categories. The bright Hobie sails will provide a mass of colour in St. Aubin's bay, showcasing the main Hobie event of the year in the Channel Islands.
