Lou and Nicole Miele first met in seventh grade, dated briefly in high school before fate took them in different directions. Twenty years later their lives intersected once again, and they have enjoyed a beautiful partnership ever since.

As repeat Aquila customers they are now proud owners of Hull #1 of the Aquila 54 Yacht Power Catamaran, which was christened "Liquid" in February of 2021.

Several years ago, Nicole surprised Louie with a visit to St. Petersburg, Florida for a concert. During this trip, they fell in love with Florida’s year-round warm temperatures, vibrant culture and living near the water – all of which inspired Lou and Nicole to explore the area for a second home. After buying a waterfront property, they decided that a boat would enhance the Florida lifestyle and set their sights on their first boat purchase.

After much research, the Aquila 44 Yacht became their first boat of choice “because of its great all-around boating design”. Whether getting out on the water for the day or a week, the Aquila 44 Yacht was ideal.

However, once the Aquila 54 Yacht became available, the Mieles opted for the upgrade as this model offered much more living and common space and an the option for five-cabins which allows all of their children to sleep onboard at the same time.

The Miele’s first adventure on the Aquila 54 Yacht was an eight-day trip to Key West’s Galleon Marina for three days of exploring with friends. Although the couple hired a captain for their first trip, the next adventure they plan to pilot themselves.
