Itchenor SC BSDRA Schools Week 2021 cancelled

I regret to advise you that Itchenor SC has had to make the difficult decision to cancel Schools Week 2021. The decision has been taken after careful review of the announcement by the Government to continue to operate Covid Stage 3 restrictions into July.

The residential nature of the event, is but one of the considerations that the flag officers and the organisers of the Firefly and Feva events have taken into account in reaching this conclusion. This is the second year that this popular event has been cancelled due to the ongoing Covid outbreak. We recognise that this will be disappointing news for all the sailors who were planning to join us at Itchenor SC this year.

We will be planning to hold Schools Week in 2022 and look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible at this popular event. More announcements about our plans for 2022 will follow.

Usagi, Nautilus, King Tubby and Eleanor join the I14s on the water For the first Cherub open meeting held at Itchenor SC, Usagi, Nautilus, King Tubby and Eleanor made the trip to down to join four International 14s for some close racing in Chichester Harbour in the Autumn sun. Posted on 25 Sep
International 14 Bull Trophy at Itchenor
Just enough breeze for everyone to stretch their legs On 18th/19th September, the International 14s held the Bull Trophy at Itchenor SC. Six boats took to the start line over the weekend with light changeable breezes on both days, but luckily enough for people to stretch their legs. Posted on 23 Sep
International 14 Century Cup at Itchenor
Sailed in testing conditions with northerly winds The Century Cup started in testing conditions with Northerly winds ranging from 11 knots to the odd 18 knot gust. Robin and Martin Pascal lead the way around the course and took line honours but were not quite old enough to bag the trophy on handicap. Posted on 16 Sep

International 14 Royal Bermuda Yacht Club Trophy
Racing in Bracklesham Bay for the fleet The weekend of 17th & 18th July saw the 2021 running of the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club trophy for i14s, raced in Hayling bay (or more accurately, Bracklesham) according to a deed of gift, apparently. Posted on 31 Jul
