Recreational boating joins 113 US and EU Organisations urging EU and US to lift retaliatory tariffs

One hundred thirteen European and American associations issued a joint statement ahead of the EU-U.S. Summit in Brussels of 15 June 2021.
The 113 organisations, which range from agricultural products to consumer goods and recreational boating, reiterate their call for the permanent removal of tariffs on sectors unrelated to the ongoing transatlantic trade disputes. For recreational boating, this relates to the retaliatory tariffs put in place by the EU after the US placed tariffs on EU steel and aluminium.
European Boating Industry (EBI) and its US counterpart National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) join this coalition for the first time. This is part of a wider cooperation by the associations on the trade dispute, which includes the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA).
