Allen to sponsor Noble Marine RS100, RS300 and RS600 National Championships at Brixham YC

by Sally Campbell 20 May 2021 06:18 PDT 9-12 September 2021

The RS Class Association are delighted to announce that Allen will be generously supporting the Noble Marine RS100, RS300 and RS600 National Championships, by providing prize vouchers for the top three boats in each fleet.

The Championship will take place at Brixham YC from 9th-12th Sept 2021. Online entry opened on Saturday and 53 of the 66 places were taken in 24hours, with a waiting list building for the RS100 class.

Allen are specialists in marine hardware, manufacturing many of the standard and custom fittings found across the RS ranges; all of which are designed and manufactured from the Allen factory in Essex then exported around the World.

Ben Harden, Head of Marketing at Allen, commented "We have been working closely with RS for many years, so seeing these older single-handed fleets still going from strength to strength whilst utilising our hardware is great to see. We hope our support helps continue the trend for years to come." RS Class Association Chair, Pete Vincent said "it's great to see such enthusiasm amongst the sailors of these RS Heritage Classes, which all continue to remain remarkably strong. We are grateful to the class committees and to RS Sailing for the work they are currently doing to make sure they remain so into the future."

With a waiting list building, the RS Class Association and Brixham YC are now carefully monitoring the new Government roadmap and trying to find a way to accommodate the full RS100 fleet. As with other sell-out RS Class Association event, RS100 sailors are being urged to get their names on the waiting list, so that the club and class know the extent of the demand. "We very much want to include all who want to take part in all of pour events and will do everything we can within RYA and Government guidelines to enable them do so." said Sally.
