It is expected to be a large yachting festival when Struer Sejlklub is the host of the H-Boat World Championship in August 2021. The championship, which is now also supported by the 'Færch Foundation' is attracting a large audience from both Denmark and abroad. The event will be held from August 9 to 15, 2021, where more than 200 elite sailors race for the world championship trophy.

Struer Sejlklub have worked on establishing this great event for nearly three years. It has been a demanding and economically major task for the many volunteers in the organisation.

"We are continuously working on balancing the budget for the races, which naturally is large when speaking of a world championship level event. That is why we are very grateful for receiving a donation from the 'Færch Foundation'", says Otto G. Jensen, Head of the Regatta.

The donation of DKK 75,000 from the Færch Foundation is extremely important, and the CEO, Claus Omann Jensen, stated that the event in Struer to a great extent is marking North-Western Jutland on the map.

"With the location of Struer, the city has a uniquepotential by the virtue of the Limfjord. Struer Sejlklub is using this potential to the full and are the host for the H-Boat World Championship, attracting sailors, tourists and athletes from the whole world.", said Claus Omann Jensen.

"We are focussing on the event generating even greater attention to the tourist, cultural and commercial values which exists in North-Western Jutland and the whole region." says Otto G. Jensen.

The Head of the regatta, Otto G. Jensen, can already report on the great interest for the event from foreign media organisations and yachting-interested readers, thousands of kilometres from Denmark.

"We are able to see that even as far away as Australia, people are following the news on the official website. Furthermore, we have had success by servicing foreign media with press releases and news," concludes Otto G. Jensen.
