Australia's first Figaro Beneteau 3 makes racing debut

by Beneteau Asia/Pacific 6 May 2021 01:10 PDT

After a month of setup and tuning, the first Figaro Beneteau 3 (FB3) in Australia, sold by our dealer in the country, Flagstaff Marine, successfully launched to water with her happy owner onboard. She is named "Intiy", and the owner's comments on the first sail were light, fast and responsive. Last week, Intiy was spotted at Sail Port Stephens 2021 for her Australian racing debut.

This FB3 has a tight schedule ahead. After the debut, the happy owner has signed her up for the legendary Beneteau Pittwater Regatta 2021, where he meets other Beneteau owners from different parts of Australia for a day of social racing and post-celebration. After the friendly competition, the FB3 will be publicly displayed at Pittwater and undergo sea trials with journalists onboard.

The Figaro Beneteau 3 had her Asian premiere in Hong Kong three years ago. During her stay, Beneteau's clients, boat owners, and influential sailors in Asia were invited onboard for sea trials. This FB3 was sold by our dealer Simpson Marine and was delivered to her owner in Taiwan afterwards. We hope that more and more FB3s will hit the waters in Asia Pacific.

Sea Trial Day

A sea trial day is scheduled to be organized by Flagstaff Marine, working with one of Australia's premier yacht clubs—Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, inviting sailors and journalists onboard the Figaro Beneteau 3, to experience what the FB3 can offer at sea. We will send out the invitation soon.

Stay tuned with the latest developments of the first Figaro Beneteau 3 in Australia.
