A series built professional last generation racer for Open, IRC and ORC formulas. Designed for short crew offshore and serious ocean racing, can be upgrades for crew inshore races and cruising use with unlimited custom possibilities by Moana Custom.

When Moana Bluewater Yachts presents a new model usually the first likes comes from the professional world. This is because Moanas are made outside commercial schemes and built from professional for professionals. Also this time many good comments on the new Moana M35' WRC are coming from the professional sailing and design world.

This time Vittorio Malingri and Marco Veglia, Moana Shipyard and VMV Yacht Design's partners, decided to create something still not existing in this declination. A part Class 40 prototypes, some 30' proto or Mini 6,50 it's hard to find a similar racing yacht, especially if series built at a reasonable price. The 35' length it very interesting for a lot of sailors cause it opens various racing opportunity.

M35' WRC is a 35' series made yacht oriented to short and full crew professional racing, able to perform at the maximum level in international events, transatlantic races and in the fast growing number of Mediterranean offshore long races, dedicated to full crew or short crew entries.

Moana Bluewater Yachts propose, as M35' WRC base offer, a hand laid vinylester/e-glass/carbon reinforced unit with extremely powerful lines, deep T keel, twin rudders and water ballast. M 35', that can also be ordered upgraded up to a full carbon/epoxy under vacuum and post cured platform built by Moana Custom, fitted with any kind of appendages and rigging as are foils or wing mast.

Very often a yacht has the dual cruise-race use, this is why Moana Bluewater Yachts offers three different internal layout to meet the needs of various owners: from pro Open single and double handers to full crew IRC/ORC club or offshore racers, up to owner that like to race inshore and offshore but need a yacht able to be used for cruising holiday or for ocean events as ARC.

Both Moana Bluewater Yacht and VMV Yacht Design put the accent on the fact that a capable crew on board a Base M35' WRC can win his class in an Ostar, a Twostar, a Tranquadra or in a Middle Se Race. This is because the hull's last generation waterline and appendages are very powerful, the righting moment, helped by water ballast, is huge and the over all weight, coming form a hand laid state of the art lamination, is lighter and safer compared to infusion.

On a 35' yacht the lamination is made by few layers. A full carbon construction is of course more rigid but the weight saving it's not a big percent as it's in a big yacht. In the 35' offshore racing class foilers are not the standard, and even if they are present they have big gaps in many conditions. Anyway, if someone see it in a different way, or wants more, Moana Custom will built his M35' WRC in full carbon/epoxy with canting keel, flying foils and orientable wing mast, or anyway in between.

Moana Bluewater Yachts are built by Moana Shipyard's & Carbon Line teams in Fano, Italy. Vittorio Malingri and Marco Veglia have with Carbon Line an established relationship in many past and current projects. Carbon Line it's the main European lamination unit; supplier for Benetti, Riva, Pershing, Azimuth and many others, it's able to master at the higher standard all kind of lamination processes. The quality coming from the interaction of Moana Shipyard and Carbon Line teams is unique. The two shipyards organization and equipment allows this quality to have affordable prices.

We are speaking of an hand crafted construction, where the demanding owner will find no limits to the customization of his yacht. The only fix points are the hull and deck molds. Rigging appendages and even the cockpit layout can be tailored on a special demand, or for IRC and ORC formulas optimization. Same is for interiors, engines and plants, areas where Moana Shipyard is very strong.

Moana Bluewater yachts have a soft approach with the clients. The purchase cost is 90% on the yacht, in weight and labor. Building materials and gear are sold at the same shipyard cost, same thing for the optional, that we consider part of a yacht to be built, and not something more to be sold.

Moana Bluewater Yachts do not even charges: company margins, marketing, boat shows, promotion and advertising costs. This is the real reason why such wonderful boats cost just slightly more than commercial ones. We are a small team, full involved in the design and building process. We charge only our design and working hours, part of the mold cost and part of the shed expenses, like all the artisans in the world.

Then we go sailing and racing to promote our products and to have fun... as we always did.
