The boats, crews, and sponsors for next season are already mostly in place. Planning and organising pre-season is no trivial task, but interest is high and we are in a great position to make next season the best yet.

With several new boats coming online, some new teams to rival the old guard, and a number of new exciting sponsors to complement our existing and awesome sponsors, now more than ever is the time to get involved in sailing an 18 Footer. There are a few opportunities for experienced skiff sailors to crew on a boat as a bowman or sheethand, or if you have a team and want to get involved in racing 18s next season, drop a note to to find out more. The formation of a 18 Footer Academy is in the making so new crews will be well supported to learn the details of setting up and making an 18 go fast.

Sailing a high performance 18 on iconic Sydney Harbour against some of the best sailors in the world supported by the 18 Footer League - why not!
