RS Aero Nazionale Italiano Series 3 at Tognazzi Marine Village

31 RS Aeros raced off the Ostia coast near Rome for stage three of the RS Aero Nazionale Italiano Series 2021 under clear blue Mediterranean skies and a pleasant moderate breeze!

The hosts, Tognazzi Marine Village, held eight races over two days thanks to the exceptional work of the Race Committee and the Juror support.

The winners of the 3rd stage at Tognazzi where:

Leopoldo Sirolli (Tognazzi Marine Village) wins the RS Aero 7 Under 21 victory, in addition to the overall compensated time victory and in the RS Aero 7 category, ahead of Flippo Vincis (LNI del Sulcis, Sardinia) and to Armando Tommasini (CN Rimini), who closed in third position.

Francesca Ramazzotti (Veliamoci) wins the RS Aero 7 middle age category ahead of Marco Avolio (TMV). In the Masters, victory for Guido Sirolli (TMV).

In the RS Aero 5s Asia Marin dominates in front of Lucrezia Ricci (both CN Rimini), in front of the Sardinian Ludovica Cai.

For Lucrezia Ricci the Under 18 gold also, in front of Sara Murru and Alice Sussarello, (both LNI del Sulcis, Sardinia).

The next event in the Italian National RS Aero Series is the Lago Maggiore International RS Aero Regatta at Maccagno on 20-23 May.

Most regions Italy, including Lombardy where Maccagno is located, had their covid restrictions eased to 'yellow' category this week which bodes well for the hosting of the event and the participation of international visitors entering the country for sporting events.
