ClubSwan 125 - The fastest monohull ever conceived is becoming a reality

by Nautor's Swan 29 Apr 2021 19:36 AEST

ClubSwan Yachts is the high-performance division of Nautor's Swan offering a range of yachts based upon values of speed, innovation, technology and competitive sailing potential.

After the great success achieved by the smallest in the range, ClubSwan 36, with more than 20 units already sold, the ClubSwan 50 which marked the start of an era in the One Design panorama and 27 units sold, and the brand new ClubSwan 80, with the first hull under construction at Persico Marine, strategic partner in this important project, the new Super maxi ClubSwan 125 is taking shape, proving to be the most advanced and radical maxi yacht in sailing history.

The yacht, which sees the cooperation of the most brilliant minds in the marine industry is ready to hit the water for her official launch in June.

"ClubSwan 125 makes us very proud at Nautor's Swan. This boat can be seen as the real representation of innovation through heritage" says Enrico Chieffi, Vice-President. "Seeing our boatbuilders in Pietarsaari, working together with the most talented team in the sailing industry coming from everywhere in the world, it's something extraordinary, pushing everyone to another level."

The ClubSwan 125 is designed, constructed, out-fitted and delivered with the best possible attention to details. The hull is built in accordance to "DNV GL - 1A Yacht Sail". Hull, deck and structural parts are made of carbon fiber prepreg with nomex/corecell core, and the choice of lightweight materials give the yacht a very light displacement.

Juan Kouyoumdjian and Nautor's Swan together with selected experts in different fields for engineering have been working very hard to design and realize the ClubSwan 125, a celebration of innovation and high performance.

"When I started working on the project of ClubSwan 125 together with Nautor's Swan and the owner's team, I felt thrilled. Design a racer sailboat, able to reach a speed in the region of 15 knots upwind and will always be faster that the wind speed downwind is something unique," said Juan Kouyoumdjian. "I truly believe ClubSwan 125 will raise the stakes in the sailing world and set a milestone in the whole marine industry."

This is the brief of the Owner, a very passionate sailor, very clear since the beginning: to create a high- performance, record-breaking Superyacht.

To marry performance and prime yachting in an extreme project like ClubSwan125 is an inspiring challenge that forced the team to think outside the box collecting experience from the past and pushing frontiers.

"The launch of this important yacht, marks a milestone for us here at Nautor's Swan and will write a new page in the sailing history. We hosted in our state-of the-art BTC facility, so many experts working on one project and this something inspiring and challenging. We had the opportunity to explore new ways of building and challenge ourselves to create one of the most amazing yachts of all times, still maintaining the Swan DNA," says Giovanni Pomati, CEO.
