Arrival procedures in Ensenada will be a little different this year thanks to Covid-19 protocols, but NOSA liaisons along with Mexico health and Navy officials, aided by the Hotel Coral and Marina have devised a plan to make sure sailors can safely come ashore as quickly as possible.

Mexican authorities have provided assurances that inspections will be expedited, but racers can help by filling out a questionnaire prior to docking. Skippers and crew must remain aboard until a health authority boards the boat, ensures no one has symptoms, collects the health questionnaire, and issues a health certificate.

This questionnaire can be found online and will be included in the skipper's packets.

To expedite the process, health officials will monitor YB tracking from the arrival of the first sailboat until the last one arrives (per the usual cut-off time.) A team of 4 medical professionals from the health department and 4 from the Navy will be stationed on-call (2 at the Coral and Marine Hotel and 1 at the Ensenada Cruiseport Village Marina) until all incoming sailors have arrived, day or night.

Beverage service will be available to sailors via the Hotel Coral and Marina staff during this process.

NOSA thanks racers in advance for being prepared and doing their part to ensuring swift and efficient landings.
