It is with a heavy heart that the Melges 24 Class shares the passing of George Haynie. George joined the Class over 20 years ago, and for the past eight years has served as our Treasurer.
He was a strong advocate for the Melges 24 Class and loved the sport of sailing. Anyone who knew George would tell you he was very generous of his time, a strong competitor, and was very welcoming to new Class members.
Please join us in extending our deepest condolences to his family. We wish George eternal peace.
