Join Oakcliff for a 2021 Rules Changes Workshop

by Oakcliff Sailing 9 Mar 07:25 PST March 11, 2021
2021 Racing Rules of Sailing update © Oakcliff Sailing

Join Oakcliff digitally March 11 from 6:30 to 8 pm to discuss the 2021 changes to the Racing Rules of Sailing, presented by former Oakcliff Race Program Director Bill Simon and local International Umpire and Judge Bruce Cook.

This is a great seminar for racers and race officials alike as a way to prep for and ramp up to your sailing season. This seminar will include:

  • Changes to rules 50.1 and 43.1, among others
  • Changes in language
  • Redefinitions

If you want to race at Oakcliff this summer, knowing your rights and restrictions under the Racing Rules of Sailing gives you a big advantage on the race course. (We like it when both Umpires and sailors understand all the rules - it saves us from taking things to the room!) Tickets are $20.

Sign up here.

If you'd like to see our other previous workshops from this year - including meteorology and fitness - make sure your supporter donation is up to date and log in to our supporter media portal to watch. Email Patrick at for details.
