Dear Sailors,

So in the blink of an eye, the Dinghy Show weekend came and went again. Time flies when you are having fun and what a great weekend it was!  Many thanks to everyone who attended and asked questions to our stand team.

We had over a thousand people visit our stand, downloading over two thousands documents and watching 900 videos.  There was great interest in how to splice with BabySplice, the Barton Ratchet block and the Laser Kit range.  Our "in conversation" webinars were well received and are now available on YouTube in our "in conversation" playlist.

If you missed the show, we have included some of the highlights from Barton below.
What Does it Take to Destroy a Barton Block
We pushed a size 0 block to its limits so you can see how tough Barton blocks really are!  It is amazing how something so small and light can handle quite so much.
Competition Winners

On both days of the show we gave away a £100 voucher to one person who answered our question correctly - Which Ben was steering the British AC75 entrant in the Americas Cup?  The answer was of course Ben Ainslie.

Our winners were Joanne H from Swadlincote and Jonny W from Preston.  Each will receive a voucher to spend on Barton gear of their choice.

A big thank you to everyone who entered and signed up for our newsletter.  We tend to send one email per month so promise not to bombard your inbox.
Featured Products - The Dinghy Boomstrut

Designed for dinghies up to 16ft/4.9m

Patented flexing spring provides fast response and a constant force for vang efficiency. The Boomstruts lightweight, low profile design features two flexible coated fibreglass rods which provide the force to support the boom. Pulling the boom down with a conventional kicker causes the Boomstrutto flex upwards; releasing straightens the rods, thereby lifting and supporting the boom.

The key benefits are

  • Perfect for cruising dinghies and training boats
  • No more dropping the boom when reefing or coming into dock
  • No adjustments and no hang-ups
