Twin helm stations, an Excess trademark

Excess catamarans adapt to the needs of today's sailors. Each model has twin helm stations located at the after end of each hull. Because it is important for us to provide sensations when under sail. The twin helm stations offer the best position to see the sea, the sails, to dock, to enjoy the friendliness of the cockpit.

The originality of twin aft helm stations

"The real advantage of the Excess catamaran is that you get the same feeling of speed as a monohull, which often has two steering positions, but without the heel. Being a sailing enthusiast, having a helm station positioned at the rear of the boat allows me to have a clear view of my genoa or headsail while I'm at the helm, it's a real pleasure". Clément Poujade, Atlantic Yachting dealer

Putting the skipper back at the heart of the boat

"Unlike traditional catamarans, at Excess there is no helm station on one side and the cockpit on the other, and that changes everything. Life on board becomes much more harmonious. More user-friendly," explains Bruno Belmont, product design manager at Excess

Unique sensations

"From the first trip between Les Sables d'Olonne and Sète, I quickly realized that this Excess catamaran was great. Even in winter with big sea conditions, we got a lot of pleasure sailing this boat." Xavier Leroux, owner of an Excess 11.
