Crewsaver, a Survitec brand and leading supplier of safety and survival equipment to the leisure marine industry, has appointed Kubus Sports as its official distributor for the Benelux region.

The Netherlands-based company will begin offering Crewsaver equipment to its customers from mid-February, having already established stock inventories for a range of Crewsaver products.

Kubus Sports will stock, market, and distribute Crewsaver drysuits, watersports clothing, gas- and foam-type lifejackets, buoyancy aids, and other accessories across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

Paul Callus, Export Sales Manager, Crewsaver & Yak, said: "With a 50-year history supplying prestigious brands to the European leisure marine markets, Kubus is well placed to help strengthen and support our strategy to expand the Crewsaver brand into the Benelux region."

Kubus Sports owner Alex Cretier said: "Survitec has an impressive history of innovation and is well known for its first-class, market-leading products. The Crewsaver brand sits well within our existing portfolio and is in line with our commitment to delivering only quality products. We are excited to announce the addition of this premium brand to our distribution and look forward to a long-lasting and successful partnership."

With its long coastline and inland waterways, Belgium and the Netherlands have witnessed significant growth in the recreational boat market over recent years.

"The region is an important maritime nation, with the leisure marine sector, in particular, being singled out as a potential growth market," added Callus.

"These are exciting times for Crewsaver, and our partnership with Kubus Sports is an important step towards scaling up our presence in the region to meet increased demand."
